Mont Ventoux with Ned Boulting

Now on BIKE’s YouTube

Voice of Le Tour Ned Boulting and eight competition winners travel to The Giant of Provence to tick off Europe’s most iconic cycling climb. The bare lunar landscape, the last stop at Chalet Reynard and the towering white and red striped observation tower; Mont Ventoux has a long history. Famous duels between cyclists through the decades, right up to Chris Froome sprinting to the top this year, there’s a reason why tens of thousands of people travel to the mountain every year to tackle Ventoux.

Part One

Part Two

Ventoux offers a challenge for everyone, 21km at an average of 7.6km

There’s no easy way to the summit, and the route from Bedoin has featured in all but one of Ventoux’s appearance in Le Tour. Some of the most beautiful road cycling terrain surrounds Ventoux. Exodus Travels organise a fantastic long weekend of cycling in Provence, starting with a two-col warm-up ride and a delicious evening’s meal, the group then ride through the Gorges de la Nesque on day two.

After a cafe stop in Bedoin the group hits the first few KMs of Ventoux moving from a gradual climb to double figures surprisingly fast. The ride to the summit is a challenge for everyone. You can see how Ned and the rest of the group get on in ‘Mont Ventoux with Ned Boulting’ exclusively on BIKE.
